The event is a forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss commercial and noncommercial computational tools designed to support software development activities. The Tool Session focus on three main areas: software engineering (including software component, architecture, and reuse); programming languages; and formal methods.
TOPICS FOR TOOLS SESSION
This CFP welcomes technical papers related (but not limited) to:
- compilers;
- programming languages environments;
- software architectures;
- aspect-oriented software development;
- model driven development;
- distributed software development;
- requirements engineering;
- experimental software engineering;
- theoretical foundations and formal methods;
- configuration management;
- software maintenance, reengineering, and refactoring;
- metrics and measurements in software engineering;
- performance evaluation of software;
- software reuse;
- verification, validation, and software testing.
TOOLS SUBMISSION
Submitted papers describing the tools can be written in Portuguese or English. papers submitted must not have been simultaneously submitted to any other forum (conference or journal), nor should they have already been published elsewhere. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will register for the CBSoft 2012.
Each submitted paper will be reviewed by at least three referees, based on its originality, relevance, technical soundness and clarity of presentation.
The paper describing the tool should address the following points:
- description and motivation of the problem addressed by the tool;
- solution architecture of the tool;
- description of the main features;
- brief comparison with other related tools;
- screens illustrating the interface tool (when applicable);
- the type of license, and
- the address (URL
- on the Internet where it is available for use or copy (download).
Papers must be no longer than 6 pages, including all figures and references. All submissions must be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and must comply with the SBC conference format available at: http://www.sbc.org.br/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=195&task=viewcategory&catid=32.
